The Kohl's USYSA - Lydia Tata Memorial - American Cup
Kohl's American Cup
The Churchville Soccer Club and the United States Youth Soccer Association have agreed to name the "Kohl’s USYSA Lydia Tata Memorial American Cup", in honor of Lydia Tata, the 8 year old Recreational Soccer Athlete that succumbed to cancer earlier this year. Churchville Soccer Club will host the largest recreational youth soccer tournament in the United States, at Churchville Park from July 17-19 2015. The Under-6 through Under-19 boys and girls participating will bring together more than 50 recreation level soccer teams on 11 soccer fields.
Proceeds from the "Kohl’s USYSA Lydia Tata Memorial American Cup" will go to the CURE Childhood Cancer Association, based here in Rochester NY, in Lydia’s name. CURE Childhood Cancer Association was formed in Rochester, NY in 1976 by a group of parents who lost their children to cancer. They wanted to provide support to parents going through the same experience, as well as raise money for cancer research. Today, CURE is the only organization in Rochester focused solely on meeting the emotional, social, financial, and educational needs of children diagnosed with cancer and chronic blood disorders.

The coaching staff at MCC brings a vast amount of experience in coaching both men’s and women’s collegiate and Olympic Development Program. Our daily curriculum focuses on all aspects of soccer.  We create a learning environment for all campers to want to continue working on and improving their technical and tactical skills after camp ends. Each coach will work with 15-18 players, with each player receiving an individualized evaluation.

There will also be specialized goalkeeper training throughout the week, where they will go through vigorous exercises to fine tune their skills.  They will also be evaluated during small and full sided games.

Coaching Staff: We pride ourselves on the quality of coaches that we bring in from all over the country.  Our coaching staff, which is made up of NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA collegiate coaches, helps create an environment for young players aspiring to play at the next level.  We also have our current Monroe CC soccer players, as well as other men's and women's collegiate and professional players, to assist with each team that is assigned.   In addition to our tremendous camp coaching staff, the MCC women’s coaching staff is actively involved in our ID camp.
