The "Office & Productivity" track is our most narrow, but focused track. These sessions will help those interested in fine tuning their office or personal workflows with Church Management software, forms, calendaring and note taking. Very practical tips will help participants walk away equipped with stewardship-focused timesaving tools to use tomorrow.

Gather Information in a Snap with Google Forms

Learn to use the intuitive Google Forms tool for gathering all types of information for the church and school office and the classroom. See demonstrations of basic form set up, working with form data and advanced tricks for branching forms, password protection and responding to form submissions. Bring your computer along if you want to give it a try.

Learn how you and your staff can effectively use Google Calendar to manage church or school events, schedules, rooms and other shared resources. Look at ways you can display the calendar on your web site, and see a demonstration of "Print My Cal," a free program which displays your monthly calendar from Google in your word processor for editing and printing.

Increase Church Office Efficiency with Church360° Members

With less time and more to do, every church worker is looking for ways to improve efficiency. Church360° Members, web-based church management software from Concordia Technology Solution, is designed with the church worker in mind. This session will give a general overview of the software with an emphasis on getting tasks done quickly and efficiently. Topics include grouping members, entering attendance and offerings, and viewing congregational trends.

Productive Workflow Using Evernote

Evernote is a multi-platform note-taking, list-managing tool with uses ranging from the simple to the complex. Pastor Burgess has spent the last 7 years practicing the Getting Things Done (GTD) system of productivity and most of that time honing his workflow using Evernote. In this session, he will demonstrate the features of Evernote following the different stages of GTD workflow: Capture, Clarify, Organize, Reflect, Engage. Within this workflow framework, he will demonstrate the following GTD components: Inbox, Mindsweep, Project Outcomes, Contextual Action Items, Weekly Review, Someday/Maybe, Read/Review, Waiting For, Reference Material, Support Material, Calendar, Tickler File, Templates, Journaling, Horizons of Focus. Along the way, he’ll share some tips, tricks and time-savers and ministry applications. Pastor Burgess looks forward to learning from your experience as well.
