The National Youth Achievement Award programme (NYAA) is an a holistic, balance and non-competitive programme of voluntary leisure time activities, designed to provide our young people with a platform to develop personal qualities and skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world".
The National Youth Achievement Award is one of the premier youth development programmes in Singapore. Officially launched on 9 May 1992 by the President of the Republic of Singapore at the Istana, the NYAA Programme aims to encourage young people between the ages of 13 and 30 years to develop personal qualities of self-reliance, perseverance and a sense of responsibility to themselves, to society and to the nation.
At UWCSEA, we currently offer the Silver and Gold awards and these are open to students in grades 9 to 12. You can find more information regarding the award throughout this site and the official NYAA website.
Participants must complete a set of commitments (depending on award level) listed below:
the Silver programme in Grade 9-10
the Gold programme in Grade 11-12
