Dear Sir/Madam
I really appreciate your support very much. I have been receiving a very good and expensive education and have been part of a great school without having to worry much about the cost of anything. I have attended a school I would have never attended because of my financial background.
I am now in my final year of the IB programme, and I have been having a lot of work. The IB curriculum is very difficult but I am very happy that I have challenged myself this much. Fortunately, I have been doing well and I am quite satisfied with my performances and improvements since last year. I am sure after Waterford I will be very prepared for university.
I have enjoyed a lot about being in this school. I have found most of my activities like sport- rugby, athletics and all the different community service work very useful. Most of these activities have developed a lot about me. My time at Waterford has been very rewarding so far. I have learnt a lot from being part of this UWC and I have to admit that it has changed a lot about me and developed several qualities. All that I have got from being in Waterford cannot be compared to anything I would have got if I was studying in Zimbabwe. I have developed very good relationships with very amazing people and made very good friends. If it was not for your support, I would have been in a completely different environment that sadly would not have done much for me.
Waterford has made me think and dream bigger about my future. Being in IB2, I have been thinking about all my possibilities for next year and I am very happy that I have very good options and good chances to attend very good universities on scholarship.
I am not able to imagine what I would be doing now in Zimbabwe if it was not for your support. This has been a very good opportunity for me and you have made a difference in my life and I am sure also of several students you have supported in the past. Thank you very much and thank you for the support you have been giving Waterford. You have not only helped the school but also made different people from underprivileged backgrounds attend this UWC.
With thanks,
Thabani Dube
