December 2016
Jullay to al! I hope everyone is doing wonderful and enjoying the last month of 2016. I just wanted to take some time to send my greetings and an update on what I am doing.
I graduated this May with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and political science. Since then, I have been in Minneapolis figuring out my next step. Currently I am working as a cognitive skills trainer at a company called LearningRx. My job is to train students on-on-one in a high-intensity environment to develop cognitive skills such as logic and reasoning, processing speed, auditory and visual processing etc. I design the training sessions for them depending on their need and then train them. This job has been a pleasant surprise as I was set on working strictly in a mental health direct care setting. I however am in the process of getting an additional job in the direct care setting so that I have the experience.
I am working in Minneapolis on the Optional Practical training (OPT) extension of my student visa now and am planning to go to graduate school next year for counseling and therapy. I am applying to universities in Minnesota and am planning to apply to a few in the UK. I want to get a varied experience in this field before I finally move back to India and hopefully, to Ladakh, to either start my own practice or join a hospital. It has been a wonderful journey for me and I want to reiterate my gratitude to you for setting me up on this path. Thank you!
In the meantime, if you need anything from me or if you have students that are trying to go on my path and that you think would benefit from talking to me, please let me know. It would be my pleasure! I will be going back to Ladakh in the summer of 2017 after two long years and I hope I can see you then.
Best wishes and regards,
Sonam

Greetings from St Olaf's College October 2012
I hope you are doing great. I reached my college a week ago and orientation has been going on since then. My classes are starting from tomorrow. I am planning to major in sociology and psychology but it might change. The college itself is great and very beautiful. The view outside my window is just amazing. The people are nice. There are some international students, many are from different UWCs. I met someone from UWCSEA as well.
I wish you a great year ahead and will keep you updated.

June 2012
I hope you are doing great.
I wanted to mail you earlier but I got caught up with packing and transition.
I graduated from MUWCI on the 19th of May. I cannot believe that two wonderful years have come to an end. It was very challenging but at the same time life changing. All I want to say now is Thank you for the amazing opportunity. I am grateful to you and all the wonderful people who made MUWCI possible for me. I will assure you that I will always climb ladders of success because I have your blessings and your good wishes with me.
The guest speaker concluded on a ambiguous note and I would like to share it with you. "may all our lives be interesting and may we get what we truly deserve" and I wish the same for us all.
Thank you so much.
Regards
Sonam
