Welcome to the Marshall University Visualization Center portal! The purpose of this site is to provide both the local public community and Marshall University faculty, staff, students, and researchers with a centralized information hub surrounding the MU Visualization Center.
This portal provides a variety of information in hope to better inform the entire local community and others with opportunities and capabilities provided at the Visualization Center. If you are interested in utilizing the Visualization Center's resources or have a proposal for collaborative work, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Visualization Center is made possible through funding from the U.S Economic Development Administration, State of West Virginia, WV State Electric Supply and Arch Coal Inc.
The Visualization Center and its staff are furthermore a corner stone in rapidly developing cyber-infrastructure at Marshall University and closely intertwined with activities in local high-performance computing (HPC), TeraGrid, and Internet2 as part of Cyberinfrastructure for Transformational Scientific Discovery (CI-TRAIN) project. The CI-TRAIN project includes multiple institutions across the US. Please visit the Marshall University Cyber-Infrastructure website for further information.
This portal will include more specific information on how to utilize the Visualization Center's resources in conjunction with other cyber-infrastructure components in the future including tutorials, guides, seminars, and more. Stay tuned!
