Algebra II

Algebra II was designed to give students a more thorough understanding of functions (especially quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic), non-linear functions, and to investigate trigonometry from an algebraic perspective.  The topics include...
                I.  Introduction to Functions
II.  Quadratic Equations/Functions and Systems of Equations
            III.  Polynomial Functions and Equations
IV.  Rational Equations, Radical Equations, and Radical Functions
            V.  Exponential/Logarithmic Functions and Equations
            VI.  Series and Sequences
            VII.  Trigonometric Functions
            VIII.  Probability
Since it is a challenging course, there may be times in which you could use a little extra help. Please feel free to speak with me at any time and we can set up a time to meet and help you feel more confident with the material. It is really important that you work hard and don't allow yourself to fall behind. If you do fall behind, see me immediately and we can work together to get you caught up.
Supplies for the 2014-2015
  • This year, all students should have a TI-83 or TI-84 graphing calculator. Before buying a new one, I would encourage students/parents to ask friends on Facebook if they have one you could buy. You might also check for used calculators on eBay.
  • Students need to keep an organized notebook for the class.
