Classroom websites can be a useful resource for communicating with your students and their parents.
Bend-La Pine Schools provides several tools for teachers to use to create their classroom websites:  Google Sites and WordPress.  Check out the resources provided to the right.
  • You may want to use WordPress if you plan on doing class blogging; log in at blogs.bend.k12.or.us to create your site (use your network credentials to log in).
  • You may want to use the Google Sites for easy website creation; you have integrated access to your Google docs and folders.  Log in on your district Gapps account.

Please note that all classroom websites must be hosted on the Bend-La Pine Schools district web servers using the above tools or a web tool that allows you to FTP your website to the district server.

For those teachers still using iWeb:  This product is no longer supported by Apple.  To be proactive before iWeb 'breaks' due to an operating system upgrade, IT suggests you convert your website to either Google Sites or WordPress at your earliest convenience. Check PD Place for dates/times of scheduled workshops.
