Veteran GCC families may notice an increase in the regular camp fee this year. This is the first fee increase in almost a decade and simply reflects the increased costs of everything from food and program supplies to liability insurance and garbage removal. Even with this increase, Gales Creek Camp is proud to remain one of the lowest-priced camps in the United States, even among non-medical camps. If you'd like to know how we arrived at this increase, please click here.

Ensuring camp fees do not prohibit any child with type 1 diabetes from attending camp is a top priority of Gales Creek Camp Foundation. See below for the financial aid that makes this possible.
Financial Aid

Gales Creek Camp is committed to erasing financial barriers to camp. We believe that no child should ever be denied admission to camp based on an inability to pay all or part of the fees.

If you are concerned about the financial part of sending your child to camp, please consider the options below. Call or email our office at any time if you need assistance.

  • Installment payments: You can pay your camper's fee in installments—weekly, monthly, or in as many installments as you need. You can even set them up to recur automatically on dates you choose. This option appears at the checkout stage of your registration.

  • Camperships (scholarships): Gales Creek Camp Foundation makes 'Camperships' available for those who need financial assistance. Camperships are "pay-what-you-can" and are awarded on a sliding scale up to 90% of the total camp fees. To learn more or apply, click here.

  • Sponsorships: Many community organizations are very supportive of Gales Creek Camp. The Lions Clubs in particular are great partners and "sponsor" (pay the fee for) many of our campers. Consider approaching your local Lions Club or other civic club to see if they can help. We are happy to work with them. If you don't know where to start, let us know and we can connect you with your local Lions Club. Please call or email our office!
