Calling all Alumni!

Here's the idea you've been waiting for...
Miss Gales Creek Camp? Well you don't have to any longer.

Announcing the first everALUMNI CAMP for adults!

That's right, get ready to re-live the glory days of summer camp. This 21+ camp will have you acting like your old self, complete with campfire skits, field games, and GCC's beloved swimming pool.

Reconnect with old friends or make some new ones as you pick out your bunk, meet up on the log, or go though the dining hall line.

But this is an ADULT camp after all. In addition to all the campy things you remember, we'll have a few new programs and surprises. When was the last time you got an update on the research being done on type 1? How about the new technology? And who likes wine? ;-)

Best of all, you'll actually be giving back to the camp that changed your life because this is a fundraiser! This is your chance to pay it forward and ensure the kids who are growing up with type 1 today will also have a camp to call home.

We'll have freebies and grown-up raffles and prizes, too, and we're not just talking about camp store merch.

The cost of this fantastic all-inclusive weekend is $500 per person. But don't let that scare you. If you can't write that kind of check, we can help. We'll give you the tools to fundraise your camp fee!

So if you went to camp, worked at camp, or have some other meaningful connection to camp, save the dates: August 25-26, 2018.

This is a multi-generational event. All you need is a love for Gales Creek Camp.
Interested in helping to plan this epic weekend? Join our committee! The more ideas, generations, and points of view the better. Contact us to learn more.
Alumni, we need your pictures and artifacts from camp!

If you went to Gales Creek Camp, you probably have some kind of memento, right? Maybe you had a disposable camera that yielded a stack of glossy pictures. Perhaps you have a threadbare old T-shirt from 1985. You may even have some antique diabetes supplies from back then. We'd love to see them.

As part of our effort to document and celebrate the history of Gales Creek Camp, we're planning a series of permanent displays at camp that reflect on the many years and many campers who came before.

We want to use your pictures (you can scan them or we can) and/or your artifacts (we might not be able to return those, but they would become part of camp!).

If you're interested in sharing your personal history with today's campers and the campers of the future, contact us.

Big thanks to Aaron Hoard for sharing his pictures from 1979!

June 2, 2018 is Camp Cleanup + Open House Day

Join us for all or part of it.

Cleanup Day helps us get the first layer of winter grime off of camp. Everyone signs up for a specific job that suits their personality ;-)

Camp Open House is a great way for new families to come see camp. New families, veteran families, and all supporters are welcome! We'll be serving food, doing tours, playing games, and raffling prizes!

Lunch is provided for everyone.

We're putting together the job list now, so watch for the sign up sheet in the upcoming newsletters.
In case you haven't heard, the foundation office has moved:
