Our Junior Team got their league campaign off to a start on Saturday afternoon with a home loss to Cullion. The Gaels went in at half time two points down and were unlucky not to be up by a couple after missing a couple of guilt edged goal chances. The Gaels started off the second half with a well worked goal which was well finished by Ronan Farrell. This gave the Gaels some confidence and proceeded play some of the better hurling for the next 10 minutes until Cullion got a goal of their own. After that Cullions superior fitness told and they rattled of several unanswered points to finish the game six points up.  The southern Gaels back line performed well throughout with some exceptional performances from Trevor Farrell, Mickey Larkin and Killian Coyle.
