Junior Championship
We had our second junior championship game of the season in Pairc Chiaran on the 13th of August. After playing so well but coming up short against Plunketts it was important that we bounced back on our home pitch against St. Brigids. This we did, running out winners on a score line of 0-15 to 0-6. With Gavin Daly and Ronan Farrell lively in the forwards we edged the first half by a few points. In the second half Eoin Cronin came on as a sub to score 4 points and stretch the lead. Our win was based on determined tackling in the centre of the field where all players contributed but Trevor Farrell, Patrick Flynn and Hugh Feeney stood out. We can now look forward to our next match and continue the good attendance at training to prepare for this.

Under 16
The under 16 club championship starts next Sunday versus St. Brigids.

Under 13
Well done to all who played so well against Wolf Tones on the 17th of August in Pairc Chiaran. Conditions were not helpful to good hurling but all players who turned out showed admiral levels of skill. Sean Dowd was once again star of the show but others to play well on the night were Myles Duffy, Michael Dolan and Ethan Connolly.

Under 10
Our under 10s continued to improve by outscoring Oliver Plunketts by 11 scores to 10 in Pairc Ciaran. Anthony Connolly kept goal well and hit high puck outs up to our forwards. Eoin McCarthy anchored a determined defence of Peter Mulvihill, Sean Murphy and Dano McMonagle which gave away nothing easily. We had the edge in midfield where Israel Kimazo seemed to be everywhere and was ably supported by Chulainn Dowd, Luke Farrell and Paidi O'Leochain. The match was level at half time but when Evan Farrell scored a vital goal the game swung our way. Our forwards, Niall Scully, Charlie Kennedy, Tristan Connolly looked dangerous throughout. Niall going on some mazy runs that were well defended, Charlie having a couple of shots that just missed the target and Tristan having a goal bound pull blocked by the defence. Cian McCarthy 1-3, Chulainn Dowd 3-0 and Israel Kimazo 1-2 capped off the good work of the team by getting the majority of our scores on the day. This was our 6th game of the league and the win puts us in a good position. We have one more game against Cullion scheduled for next weekend before the finals in Cusack park. Training continues on Tuesday 6.30-7.30, Saturday 3-4, Páirc Chiarán.
