 U12s V Ringtown
Our u12s travelled to St Lomans to play Ringtown in their final game of the year. A win would see them finish top of division 1C. Gaels started the brighter putting the Ring town goal under a lot of pressure but only managed a return of 2 points. It was then Ringtowns turn to put the Gaels goal under pressure mid way through the first half but super defensive play from the Gaels saw Ringtown come away empty handed. After weathering the storm Gaels returned up the Pitch to score a great goal with some fine first time hurling from full forward James Heatherington. The goals seemed to gives the Gaels a renewed confidence finishing the first half with a tally of 4-5 with the goals coming from Sean dowd and Diarmuid Martin.

Ringtown came out fighting in the second half with two quick goals but Southergaels were able to keep a comfortable gap between the teams with more goals coming from the stick of Sean Dowd and Conor o Driscoll. It was a tit for tat affair after that and despite the best efforts of Ringtown Southern Gales ran out winners 8-9 to 5-1. Standout performances on the day came from the Dolan brothers in the full back line, Killian Hanniffy at centre back, Kieran McDermott at Wing back, Brian Ruane at Midfield, Sean Dowd at centre forward and Diarmuid Martin at corner forward.

Training and Games have now finished for the year for the under 12s and training will not commence again until the new year.
