Intermediate Challenge
Skehana, Galway 4-10   Southern Gaels 0-10

Southern Gaels made a journey to Galway last weekend for a challenge and despite the recent rain the pitch in Skehana was in good order for a match. The first half was evenly contested until the home side netted twice in the closing stages. Prior to that the sides had swapped five points apiece. It was a similar story in the second half with Skehana scoring two goals and the sides sharing ten points.
It was a good workout for the side which featured many young players who will be stepping up to the Junior side this year. Sean Baker, Peter Muldoon, Cathal Mc Givern and Shane Galvin all showed good touches while Eoin Meaney made an impressive debut.
Southern Gaels; Paul Kehoe, Cathal Mc Givern, Killian Coyle, Sean Baker, Shane Galvin, Eoghan Cronin, Trevor Farrell, Patrick Flynn, Sean Carey, Jamie Anders (0-5, 2f), Tony O'Keeffe (0-3), Ronan Farrell, Sean Kilgarriff (0-1), Declan Finn (0-1) and Peter Muldoon Sub Eoin Meaney (played)
