Junior B Championship
Turin 1-11 Southern Gaels 3-11
Well done to our Junior team who got their championship campaign off to a winning start. Turin settled much better and were 1-2 to no score up in the early minutes. Two fortunate goals helped settle us and going in level at half time things were looking promising. So it proved in the second half as a smashing Tony O'Keefe goal pushed us clear.
Despite a few close calls Turin never got the goal their second half fightback required. Best on the night were Adrian Dolphin, whose hard work forced the vital scores in the second half and MJ who secured the insurance scores to copperfasten victory.

Golf Classic
Can all those interested in this year's golf classic keep the 19th of August free. This year we will be playing in Moate Golf club. We will have further details here next week.

Deepest Sympathies
The club wishes to extend it's sympathies to the family of Tom Farrell, Ard Na Grath. Tom was a long standing member of our club who originally hurled with Walderstown and joined Southern Gaels when the club was formed in 1973. Tom wa a member of the 1977 team which won the county final. Ar dheis dé go raibh a n-anam.
