Under 14 League Crookedwood 7-6 Southern Gael 3-8. Southern gaels were unlucky to lose out in this keenly contested contest. A great goal from Conor O Driscoll looked to have set Gaels on the road to victory with Kevin Dolan marshalling the defence from centre back and Gary Fitzpatrick pulling off some great saves in goal. However Crookedwood finished the stronger in the last 15 minutes with 2 late goals sealing victory. Stephen Lonican, Stephen McGonigle, Dolan and O Driscoll were best on the day.

Under 10's

Fabulous Weather and a Fabulous First Half, with one of the most Fabulous goals this season.

We Played Clonkill on Sat. June 8 at 4pm, with temperatures into the 20's.

We started extremely well with Cian Geary doing some of his best battling and tackling to keep the ball moving into the forward line.

Oisín O'Flaithearta was dangerous around the goal and with some great harassing by the corner forwards of Alex Devaney and Darragh Coughlan, he struck a low ball to the net for his first goal.

Ryan Fallon played well in goal and had some of his best placed puck-outs, which were toughly contested by Paidí and Dano against some bigger Clonkill's lads.

Bobby Nugent was industrious at midfield and did some great defensive covering. Eoin Hardiman never shirked a tackled and took a wonderous point from play.

The Fabulous goal was a great team effort, with Eoin winning a great ball and sending it up the wing to Paidi O'Leochain, who controlled well amidst a few opposition and sent a great pass in to the outrunning Oisin, who took the ball to hand, turned and after 4 steps send the ball to the back of the net. A Cracker.

Evan Farrell was also fabulous in defence, reading the ball, clearing well and growing in confidence. Cian O'Suilleabháin held the full back position tightly and Aaron Lynch made a great Debut at corner back, getting stuck in and battling courageously. The Half back line of Darragh Elliott and Sean Murphy had to soak up allot of pressure, before Chulainn Dowd joined to help out. Dano McMonagle & Luke Farrell also debuted for 2013 with Dano striking over a great free, and looking comfortable in his play and tackling at this level. Luke played a roaming forward, but got little supply to showcase his talents.

We were down an unfortunate lucky goal at half time, and after the final whistle we couldn't believe we didn't score in the second half. We've allot to build on and a little bit to put right for the next Match.

Final Score Southern Gaels, 2-2, Clonkill  4-3.

Junior Championship 18th June versus Father Daltons in Ballymore at 7.30. Training for all Tuesday and Thursday at 8, Saturday at 7.
