Weekend preview 20/7/12

Club Championship action returns this weekend with the commencement of the Action Video Productions Junior A Football Championship. There are seven games down for decision with the first game of the weekend being St. Croans B v Padraig Pearses B tomorrow evening at 7pm. Sunday sees  Ballinameen travel to Oran and there's a local derby as Castlerea St. Kevins B host Western Gaels B. Note that the game between St. Faithleachs and Michael Glaveys, listed in the image on the left, is now off as St. Faithleachs have conceded. 

On the inter-county scene the Ted Webb Cup Blitz Day takes place in Tuam Stadium tomorrow.  Roscommon will play Mayo South East and Galway County with the schedule being as follows:
12pm Roscommon V Mayo  South East  
1pm Roscommon V Galway County 
2pm Galway County V Mayo  South East 
The top team in each group will compete for the Ted Webb Cup on Monday August 6th in Ballyhaunis, while the two second placed teams will play in Shield final on same day in Ballyhaunis. 

The Roscommon Camogie team continue their All-Ireland Premier Junior Campaign as they take on Meath in Pairc Tailteann, Navan at 2:30pm.

This evening, the Roscommon Ladies Under 16 team take on Mayo in Round Five of the Connacht Championship at Elverys McHale Park. Tomorrow, Pairc Seán Ó Heslin is the destination at the Minor Ladies meet Cavan in the All-Ireland B Semi-Final at 4pm.
