Catriona wins Poc Fada 2013

The Connacht Camogie Poc Fada Finals were held in conjunction with the men's Finals yesterday evening on a course set out around the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence. There were three categories which began at 15 minute intervals. 
First up, at 7pm, was the the Juvenile competition and that was followed by the Ladies competition, which was won by Galway star Catriona Daly of Mullagh (pictured left, receiving her trophy from Chairperson Marie O'Brien). Nothing could separate the two Roscommon representatives, Kelley Hopkins and Fiona Connell and they were placed joint second. 

Elsewhere the Men's competition was very closely contested with James Skehill of Galway defeating Roscommon's Jerry Fallon by one shot and Colm Callanan close behing. The results in full were as follows

Senior Ladies
1st Catriona Daly - Mullagh, Galway
2nd Kelley Hopkins and Fiona Connell - Both Athleague, Roscommon

Juvenile:
1st Jack Coyne- Castlegar GAA Club, Galway
2nd Sean Forde- Moytura Hurling Club, Mayo
3rd Daniel Glynn- Padraig Pearses, Roscommon

Senior Men
1st James Skehill- Cappataggle, Galway
2nd Jerry Fallon- Oran
3rd Colm Callanan- Kinvara Hurling Club, Galway
