New Technical Writers Guild at RIT:  Check it Out

The SPIE/OSA Student Chapter at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is a student organization affiliated with two not-for-profit professional societies - the international society for optics and photonics (SPIE) and the Optical Society (OSA) - both serving an international community of scientists, engineers, technicians, educators, and business leaders dedicated to advancing our understanding and applications of light. The Student Chapter supports the community of students at RIT who are interested in the science and technology of light by hosting guest lectures, professional advancement events, mixer events with other universities and local professionals, and by providing travel opportunities for its students to attend international conferences. All of these foster networking connections that grow a student's career. In addition, the Student Chapter is dedicated to inspiring young scientists in optics and the science of light through educational outreach events reaching the community of middle and high school students in the Greater Rochester Area.

In the navigation bar to the left you will find meeting minutes, events calendar, and other resources.
