Dear Friends of WMK,

We are excited about the start of the new school! Our faculty and staff have been working hard this summer to prepare for the 2017-2018 school year. Shining floors, fresh paint, new books, and exciting lesson plans await your child! The custodial staff is amazing. Our school sparkles. The teachers have been collaborating and planning to implement new literacy approaches, writing strategies, and incorporate new science standards. We are ready!

We are committed to your child's development and find joy in working with him/her everyday. Please help us to know your child so we may better serve your family. One of the most powerful practices I encourage each year is letter writing. Please take a few minutes to write your child's teacher a letter about him/her. Share his/her likes and dislikes, personality characteristics, developmental timeline, or anything that you want us to know that might be helpful. We cherish this information.

As we begin this journey together, do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or me if you have questions or need information.

Thank you for sharing your child with us!
