College Application Month 2016
Seneca High School celebrated College Application Month (#CAM2016) in October with a variety events including college admissions presentations, a college fair, a FAFSA workshop, application days, and a Preparing for College Workshop. Attendance at these events exceeded 1000. Seneca High seniors completed over 600 college applications during the month. #CAM2016 concluded with a senior class celebration event with over 125 prizes being awarded including a Kindle Fire, two Fit Bits, a digital camera, 4 All Sports Passes, 3 Dominos Meals (donated by Dominos in Seneca) and 25 Starbucks gift cards. The grand prize, a new Dell 2 in Laptop (donated by Dell) was won by senior Anna Hughes.
Seneca High School has been awarded a Silver Medal from U.S. News and World Report as a Best High School in South Carolina. Seneca High School is ranked number 19 in South Carolina, and number 2360 nationally. U.S. News and World Report uses the South Carolina State Assessment Program results as well as Advanced Placement Test results to determine the best high schools in the nation. According to U.S. News and World Report, “Only high schools that were ranked in the top 30% of all public high schools in the US earned the right to a U.S. News Best High School 2016 medal.”

Students will be lifelong learners who are technologically literate and globally minded. This will be accomplished by a professional staff through skilled instruction with appropriate assessment, up-to-date facilities and resources, parental involvement, and collaboration with business and community.
