¡Bienvenidos  a mi página de web!
Welcome to my webpage!

Hello, my name is Paul Holleran, I am originally from the great state of Michigan. I have traveled, taught and lived in Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua as well as Florida, Michigan and now South Carolina. In addition, I have traveled across Canada and to the Dominican Republic. This year is my 18th in teaching, fourth here in Oconee county and Walhalla High School. I earned my B.A. in education with a major in Spanish and a minor in French from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2002. Then in 2009, I earned my first Master's in English Linguistics (TESOL) from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most recently, in 2014, I earned my second Master's degree in K-12 administration from Western Michigan University.

I have taught English, Spanish and French everywhere from second grade to the university level, I have even taught teachers. I have taught in large schools (2250 students) to small schools (160). I have taught in urban schools and rural schools. No matter where I have taught, I have always enjoyed working with students and staff. My goal is for your child to feel comfortable in class and know that they will not always be correct or have the correct answer and to be okay with not always being correct, rather, to strive to learn from mistakes, "We learn from failure, success...not so much".

Personally, I have been married since 2002 to my beautiful wife Sandra (Walhalla Middle School) and have two beautiful children: Anthony and Isabella, who both attend school in the district. We have two dogs, one snake and one hamster. I am an avid backpacker, hockey player and love to read.
