Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new school year. We look forward to continuing the year as a School of Innovation (SOI).  Students will attend school four days to engage in academic rigor, and on Fridays students will engage in activities and events catered to their interests and needs.   The staff is very eager to begin this school year and we are excited to have your children return for a captivating educational journey.

On behalf of the administration, staff, and students, I'd like to welcome you to the Agee Lierly Life Preparation Services (ALLPS) learning center. The staff at ALLPS are committed to ensuring that all students reach their full potential and become critical minded, productive citizens through our motto, “…where HOPE stays alive!”

Our goals are to serve and nurture all of our students, preparing them for the real world. This school year we are excited to offer our students a brand new learning experience:  Expeditionary Learning. These are project-based learning experiences where students engage in interdisciplinary, in-depth study of compelling topics, in groups and in their community, with assessment coming through cumulative products, public presentations, and portfolios.  We are thrilled to embark upon this adventure with our students!

Our commitment to our students goes beyond academic achievement at ALLPS, and includes helping our students transition to life after receiving a high school diploma, certification, or GED.   Through our partnership with the Northwest Technical Institute, Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, and Northwest Arkansas Community College, students are able to access workforce development courses (i.e. Cosmetology, Auto Body, Welding, and Medical Professions) and dual enrollment.  This partnership is a great opportunity for students to explore options and begin the path toward a long lasting career.

As principal, it is important that my staff, parents and students become partners in this journey to success. Each student is rich with potential. Education can help students realize that potential, but it takes the teamwork of teachers, students, and parents to maximize the results. It's important that all students attend school daily with a commitment to learning and giving their all. A positive attitude and the willingness to succeed will ensure that students become problem-solvers in a fun, nurturing environment.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to our staff for all their efforts to start off this year in a smooth, efficient way. Teachers have worked hard getting their rooms organized and ready for our students. Office and custodial staff have also worked extra hard in getting the school clean and ready for a great school year. Finally, our PTSO has done a great job working with our office staff to prepare materials such as handbooks and important school papers for this school year, as well.

Many exciting events are planned for our students and their families. Finally, I want to thank the parents for entrusting your students to us and for your support.

If you have questions or would like to meet with myself or any staff member, please call the main office at (479) 444.3083. We invite you to visit our school and become an active part of the ALLPS community. We will have a great school year!
