Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Kim Shenk and I am thrilled to be your child's Science teacher this year. Teaching has always been my passion and I am looking forward to sharing my love of learning with my students.  

As a child, I always loved watching science fiction movies, reading books, and discovering the world around me..  Many people are surprised to find out that I am a huge Star Wars fan.  Spending time outdoors is another huge passion of mine.  I have always enjoyed traveling around the World and exploring new places.  Out of all the places I have visited, Yellowstone National Park is my favorite destination. I love to watch all the wildlife, especially the wolves!

I have lived in the Timberwood Park community for over 18 years.  My husband and I have been married for 20 years.  We are proud parents of a Pieper High junior, and a freshman at UTSA. Our family also includes lots of fish, a poodle named Princess Leia, and a rescue named Maya.
