Welcome

My name is Kayla Shook, and I've been teaching at Oak Creek for 9 years. Each year it is my goal to create a classroom that is safe both physically and emotionally for my students. I love them with all my heart and do my best to facilitate a community of learners who  are kind and respectful. 

As for my family outside of school...I have been married to my husband, Paul, for 19 years. We have 3 boys, Rory, Reid, and Reiss. Rory is 14 and starting high school this year. Go Coogs! Reid is 6 and going into first grade here at OCES. And our youngest, Reiss, is 4 and will be here in the ECSE program at OCES. He's our little firecracker! We absolutely adore all of our boys! My hobbies include taxiing the oldest to all of his activities, and then running around after the littles. #boymom

Who else LOVES baseball? The Texas Rangers are my favorite team! I really enjoy watching ALL baseball, and you'll find me at the ball fields watching the kiddos, too!
