10/30/12-MOZ and Roller Pressures

Today when I met with Dr. Weisenmiller, we went over some concepts from the midterm he had given me, that I have been working on. I am learning a lot about color and paper measurements, in many different formats. In the lab today, we readied the press to run for his GC440 class: loaded one plate of the two color job, loaded black ink, set up the registration system, and ran test sheets. He also showed me how to check roller pressures for the ink form rollers and dampening form rollers. Attached are some photos of my press sheets, as well as my monthly report for October.

Thursday, we are going to get the Heidelberg DI running, in time for me to print my GC451 project for Dr. Ingram, a 4-color process (or duotone, he hasn't decided yet) photo of Godfrey Hall. Dr. Weisenmiller and I will be prepping to print a one-color job on Thursday, to warm up the press.
