10/04/12-Folder, Cutter, SHOTS

Today, I continued my Stahl folding exercise with some more Clemson University GC flyers for GraphEXPO. It's a double right angle fold. I also learned to use the paper cutter in the press lab, and did measurements on the brochures to trim them so that they folded properly. I had to cut about 1/8" off of one side in order for the front panel to line up well. I am going to be in the press lab tomorrow after my midterms to work on a GC440 SHOTS assignment, to familiarize myself with the program and how it works. I will be attaching scans of my assignment along with a summary of my work tomorrow. After midterms and some SHOTS practice, I am off to my apartment to pack for GraphEXPO! We are leaving at 5:00am on Saturday morning. I spent most of last night looking over the list of exhibitors and plotting where they are on the convention map so that I make sure to get by all of the must-see exhibits. I plan on trying to network as much as possible, but I want to make sure I have time to see everyone that I'd like to see. I will be posting updates from GraphEXPO, and plenty of pictures.
