SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. In 2010, I not only placed at the national level for the first time, but I also designed the South Carolina state SkillsUSA t-shirt, as well as party favors and tote bags for our state champions dinner in the hotel ballroom at the National Leadership and Skills Conference.
