Happy New Year from Anthem K-8!
School will resume on Tuesday, January 10th.
We will begin the second semester reviewing our Anthem PRIDE expectations with faculty and students. Our school expectations have been developed through the nationally recognized program called Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) and is intended to provide students with positive incentives in return for making a positive choice with their behavior.
From www.pbis.org here is the core foundation of the program
Schoolwide PBIS has been effective in urban, rural, and suburban settings.
1. Identify the expected behaviors,
2. Teach, model and practice what those behaviors look like, sound like, and feel like,
3. Specifically praise appropriate behavior with private or public acknowledgement, and
4. Measure outcome data to determine successes and barriers to reaching the desired goals.
If you have any further questions, please call or stop by the front office. Also you can check out our PBIS tab on our school website.
