The Stag

Welcome to the website of the Sixth Form newsmagazine
The Stag.

In 2012, after a year under the direction of Chris Barton, The Stag was relaunched by a team of three Executive Editors: Andrew Burdett, Jack Cooper, and Chloe Banks. The Stag is a  newsmagazine, written by students, for students. It takes a look back at the biggest and smallest stories of recent weeks, and combines news with views and opinions.

The latest edition, covering a diverse range of stories, is on shelves around the school and is also available to read here online.

The newsmagazine provides a brilliant opportunity for young people to develop their skills and interests. For older students there are many leadership opportunities, enabling them to encourage and help the next generation as they move up the school.

Any views expressed in this publication are of their respective author(s) and do not necessarily represent the views of the Editors or Furze Platt Senior School. Sixth Form students are welcome to contact the Editors to express an interest with being involved in the production of future editions.
