The Office of Student Affairs offers small group opportunities for the spiritual and personal growth of students. The following small groups are available to students:

Cultural Spiritual Formation (CSF) Groups

CSF groups exist to help students explore their own cultural identity and develop a greater understanding of other cultures through sharing personal stories, participating in theological and spiritual reflection, and applying this to current issues of culture and diversity. The desired outcome of CSF Groups is that students will be spiritually transformed through developing a greater sense of self awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences, and that this transformation will be seen in students’ future work, ministry, family, and personal lives. CSF groups begin winter quarter and require a two-quarter commitment. Contact the Office of Student Affairs at 626.584.5435 for information or click here to register now.

Vocational Discernment Groups

Vocational Discernment Groups offer supportive, safe spaces in which to listen to God about vocational calling. Groups are generally between 3 and 5 people who agree to prayerfully listen to each other about the movement of God’s spirit and about the directions in which God may be leading them. The group facilitator often uses scripture and different spiritual exercises in order to create this listening space, but ultimately the process rests in the understanding that it is the Holy Spirit who is the guide. Contact the Office of Vocational Discernment and Career Services for more information about joining a group: 626-584-5358.
