The Chaplains at Fuller are available to support you in your spiritual growth through prayer, pastoral care, and spiritual formation opportunities. Students often meet with a chaplain for pastoral care and prayer related to vocational discernment, challenges in relationships, spiritual questions and concerns, academic stress, or referral to a spiritual director or therapist.

Courtney Bacon, Chaplain, School of Theology
Courtney Bacon has a diverse academic training from Oral Roberts University, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Fuller. She is currently pursuing a PhD in New Testament studies. She has extensive college ministry experience, teaches as an adjunct professor in the School of Theology, and volunteers in local prayer ministry.
Leah Fortson, Chaplain, School of Psychology
Leah Fortson is a native of Los Angeles, Ca. and continues to live there while pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She currently serves as a youth and young adult pastor within the Pentecostal church and has been nominated for evangelistic licensing within the Church of God in Christ. While pursuing doctoral studies in the school of Psychology, she is also working on a Masters of Theology in Ministry. Leah is passionate about counseling, pastoral ministry, spiritual guidance, and spending time with friends and family.
Aline Gram, Chaplain for Community Care
Aline Gram graduated from Fuller with an MDiv and is a candidate for ordination with the PC(USA) church. She also completed a year-long chaplaincy residency at Holy Cross Hospital, which is part of Providence Health and Services, a Catholic health care system. Aline is originally from Boston but moved to L.A. over ten years ago and originally worked in the film industry. Her interests lie in the arts, history, spirituality, and pastoral counseling.
Pablo Kim is a Korean-Paraguayan and international
student. He earned an MA in Intercultural Studies and
is now finishing an MDiv, emphasis in Christian Ethics
at Fuller. He also serves as the lead pastor of Church
for Others, a Korean-Mennonite church in Los Angeles.
In God’s time, he hopes to do a PhD in Christian
Ethics, integrate that with Peace Studies, and contextualize them in a Korean context. Most of all, Pablo enjoys meeting and connecting people to places where they find what they are seeking. If he were not limited with time or money, he would hang around campus all day helping to connect people with the resources that meet their needs.
Sarah Taylor, Chaplain for Vocational Discernment
Sarah Taylor holds an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller’s School of Psychology. She also earned a B.A. in Social Science from Westmont College. Sarah values spending time with family and friends and, in her spare time, runs half-marathons. She has experience counseling adults and children in a variety of professional contexts and enjoys assisting those who are involved in the journey of personal self-understanding. Having worked in Vocational Discernment and Career Services for the last two years, Sarah is especially aware of and sensitive to issues involving vocational discernment and calling. She enjoys helping people understand who God made them to be and where God is calling them to serve.
