Hi and welcome to 1st grade! My name is Mrs. Alva and this will be my fifth year with Phillips Elementary. I am so excited to join the first-grade team for the second year!

My family chose to make Texas our home three years ago and have loved it ever since. I have an amazing husband of 19 years and four beautiful kids that always keep things fun. We also have two dogs named Cutie and Duke. Outside the classroom you can find me with my family boating, at sporting events, traveling or with a good book.

I love building relationships with my students and I hope to create a love for learning within each child. Thank you for sharing your wonderful students with me! I look forward to a fantastic year!
