Quizlet Alternatives
As of December 17th, 2021, Quizlet will no longer be available to students. It recently came to our attention that Quizlet has third-party ads which is a violation of our FISD privacy policy. The DLCs have worked on a list of alternatives for you to use instead of Quizlet.
Alternatives to Quizlet:
Blooket - spreadsheet import, Import Quizlet to Blooket
StudyMate (in Canvas, secondary only) - Importing & Copying Content
Flippity - Make Your Own Set of Flashcards, Right now, only certain activities work (https://flippity.net/WhatsWrong.htm).
Quizizz – Importing a Quiz, Export the spreadsheet from Quizlet and use the import function in Quizizz. Make sure to use their spreadsheet template to ensure that all questions are formatted correctly.
Kahoot - Import to Kahoot, Export the spreadsheet from Quizlet and use the import function in Kahoot. Make sure to use their spreadsheet template to ensure that all questions are formatted correctly.
Baamboozle - Baamboozle is a fun game to play with your class as a bell ringer, check-in, or review lesson. Play from a single device on a projector, smart board or in an online lesson. No student accounts are needed, so they don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. It's simple to set up. The free version of Baamboozle allows you to make your own games to play with your class. Games can be played, viewed as a slideshow, or used as flashcards.
Gimkit – Importing a Flashcard Set, In Gimkit, students use their points to buy power-ups in the store. Power-ups let students earn more points per question, get additional points when they hit a streak, and even lose less points when incorrect.
Remnote – import to Remnote, can take notes with it and create flashcards within the notes
Nearpod - quiz or time to climb features
