In assembling this resource, we have tried to be conscientious of the vastness of motivating factors and contexts resulting in human migration, and the breadth of experiences in adopting a new home. Consideration was also given to providing a variety of formats and genres, a balance of fiction and nonfiction, and resources to support each grade level. This is, by no means, an exhaustive list of children's literature regarding human migration. Instead, this site offers a thoughtful curation of stories, with an emphasis on those of young people, which we consider to be particularly successful in supporting classroom exploration of this sophisticated topic.

Every book listed within and many more are available in the LS Library. For more information, please see the K-4: (Im)Migration Stories resource list in our catalog
