Forensic Science is a semester course offered at Freeman High School in Adams, NE.  In this course, students will be studying a variety of topics related to the field of Forensics. Topics might include: types of evidence, studying the crime scene, fingerprints, hair, fibers, drugs, toxicology, trace evidence, soil and glass analysis, blood, DNA analysis, forensic entomology, human remains, firearms, toolmarks, impressions, and document and handwriting analysis.  Resources used in this course include Kendall-Hunter's Forensic Science for High School and various online sources.  In this course, students will be learning through various outlets:  reading textbooks, researching online, posting to a website, experimenting in the lab, and watching video footage of forensic scientists solving real criminal cases.
