During their media center class, students have taken on the role of web designers.
They were first introduced to the new task by watching the following video:
Students worked with a partner to research Acadia National Park using approved online resources and print resources. Students took notes using Google Docs. After editing their writing, students transferred the information in an organized way onto the coordinating tab of the classroom website. Students learned how to research using online tools, write for a purpose and given audience, organize information, manage and share documents in Google Docs, use various tools to create a Google Site, find/insert photos labeled for common use, collaborate with a partner, and basic website design elements.
*Mrs. Kablaoui and Mrs. Hittinger are very proud of each fourth grade student and the websites they created as a team.*
