The Monmouth-Ocean County Food Bank is really counting on the Eisenhower Middle School to once again serve as a community leader in our bid to combat childhood hunger.

Coupled with the food drive too is our penny war (i.e. ends one day ahead of the food drive collection-Thursday, November 19th) where we are trying to raise between $500-1,000. Each dollar raised feeds three people three meals for a day. Containers are located as students enter the building at the bottom of the glass display case in the front foyer, for staff across from the mailboxes, and in the lunchroom for students too.

EACH DOLLAR RAISED FEEDS 3 PEOPLE 3 MEALS FOR A DAY!!
After four days of launching the Eisenhower "Penny" war, here are the latest results.

3rd Place= 8th Grade   -2,573 points

2nd Place=7th Grade   -2,085 points

1st Place= 6th Grade   -273 points

We have now raised a total of $65.99 feeding one penny short of 198 people as each dollar raised feeds three people three meals for a day.

$65.99 raised/Goal of $500=  Reached 13.19 % of our goal.

Points of Consideration...

A. Each grade level earns one positive point for each penny collected in "their grade level's" container.

B. Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars, and Paper Money earn negative points and thus should be placed in a grade level container that is not yours.

C. Every dollar donated feeds three people three meals for a day.

D. The penny war ends on Thursday, November 19th, 2015...All proceeds benefit the Monmouth-Ocean County Food Bank.

**Please feel free to read and share this email with your classes...I have also sent this email to the Eisenhower PTO.

F.Y.I. **We may have a matching donor for the penny war this year if we can meet and or exceed our goal.
