                                                                                        TODAY IS DAY 2 FOR STUDENTS

SOFTBALL Congratulations to our Lady Generals Softball team for registering their first win!  This was the season opener against Marlboro Middle School, yesterday. The girls won with the score of 8-0.  Bats were alive with 7 different players scoring our 8 runs.  We would like to also congratulate Gianna Praet on pitching a perfect game, striking out 19 of 21 batters!!!  GO TEAM!!!!

MORNING MEDITATION CLUB will be cancelled next week due to PARCC testing.

All donations will go towards the preservation of the manatee. The cut-outs are $1. Students who donate $1 will put their name on the manatee. Service Learning Club members will display the manatees around the school. Thank you for your generosity. Donations will be accepted through March 31

The Eisenhower Middle School Student Government and Words of Wisdom Teams are sponsoring our annual Toys for Tots drive in collaboration with the Corporal Philip A. Reynolds Detachment of the US Marine Corps League, Freehold Borough, New Jersey.
As part of the drive, we are accepting "new" and "unwrapped toys". As of the time of this writing, the last day of collection is slotted for Tuesday, December 20th, 2016. I am presently looking into the possibility of trying to extend the drive until Thursday, December 22nd and will follow-up as soon as I receive the word either way.
Our window of time is shorter than in years past as we participated longer this year with the food drive, but I know and trust that with hard work, selflessness, sacrifice, and "grit" that we will continue to lead the way. (i.e. GO GENERALS!)

BASKETBALL TRYOUT SCHEDULE
Tuesday November 15th - ALL GRADES Meeting 7-7:30AM in Main Gym to go over paperwork and the rest of the weeks schedule. After school 6th/7th ONLY tryout in Cafeteria until 4:30PM.

Wednesday November 16th - 6th/7th ONLY tryout in Main Gym until 4:30PM. (Cut will be made after this tryout)

Thursday November 17th - 6/7th who MADE cut and ALL 8th graders until 4:30PM in Cafe.

Friday November 18th - 6/7th who MADE cut and ALL 8th graders until 4:30PM in Main Gym.

Final cut to be posted after Friday's tryout date with practice beginning the following Monday.

ACADEMIC TEAM will host an interest meeting today at 7:00 a.m. in Mr. Krupp's room (i.e. Room 549) Wednesday, September 14th. Students prepare Jeopardy labs on a wide range of disciplines where they compete against other Eisenhower students in a bid to attempt to earn the opportunity to represent Eisenhower in off-campus academic bowl competition invitationals. This is open to all students in grades 6-8.

HISTORY CLUB will host an interest meeting today at 7:00 a.m. in Mr. Krupp's room (i.e. Room 549) on Friday, September 16th. Students take part in a history quiz bowl  on campus and are provided with the opportunity to personalize their learning about American History with off-campus site visitations. This is open to all student in grades 6-8.

PEER LEADERSHIP will meet on Friday mornings from 7 am to 7:30 am in the STEAM Center. Peer Leadership is open to 8th grade students. Any 8th grade student interested in joining Peer Leadership is asked to attend the first meeting on Friday, September 16 @ 7 am.

BAKING CLUB Welcome back to the 2016-2017 school year! If you plan on attending Friday's Welcome Back Social, Mrs. Curcic will have a table set up in the New Gym. Please stop by to pick up a permission slip and a list of items needed for us to get started. 

-If you are unable to attend the social, you can pick one up outside of room 501. 

-Permission slips are due by Friday, September 30 to MRS. CURCIC in room 501. There will be an envelope hung outside of the classroom for you to deposit your permission slip.

-PLEASE donate baking supplies if you can to room 501.

-The first Baking Club meeting will most likely take place in mid-October. More info to follow at a later date. PLEASE CHECK SCHOOLOGY FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS REGARDING MEETING DATES.


EISENHOWER STUDENT GOVERNMENT, Applications for homeroom representative can be found on the table in the front lobby as you enter the building. They are to be completed and dropped off to Mr. Krupp in room 549 on or before Wednesday, September 14th.
 The  Executive Board will be reviewing homeroom representative applications on Thursday, September 15th.

We are school community service organization that meets on Mondays and works in partnership with the Eisenhower Student Government. This is open to all students in grades 6-8.

Students are asked to bring along two grade level friends as we compete in teams consisting of three students per team.
