Helen Myers, Professor, is the Director of Fredonia Dance at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She also choreographs, teaches, and performs as a free-lance artist throughout the United States and internationally. Her work is often multi-media, blending dance, theatre, and video.

Helen's choreographic credits include: The DancenowNYC Festival at the Joyce Soho in New York City, The Momentum Dance Company of Guatemala City, The Modern America Dance Company of St. Louis, The International Fringe Festival of Independent Dance Artists of Toronto, The Universidad Autonoma of Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, the Chashama OASIS Festival in NYC, The Crimson Coast Dance Society of British Columbia, and The Choreographers' Showcase at Symphony Space in NYC, among others. She appeared as a guest performer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, and the Twyla Tharp Dance Company; she was a member of the Moving Arts Company, and Tom Evert Dance.

Prior to joining the faculty at SUNY Fredonia, she taught at The Ohio State University, Kent State University, SUNY Geneseo, New Mexico State University and Eastern New Mexico University, where she was given an award for Teaching Excellence from the Secretary of State of New Mexico. She received the MFA in Dance from the Ohio State University, and is a certified Pilates instructor from IM=X Pilates Center of NYC.  Her research areas include Contemporary Choreography, Kinesiology and Dance Expressionism.
