2014 May Fest Letter To Crafters/Vendors

Dear Crafter/Vendor:

Congratulations!  Preparations for the 2014 Mount Airy May Fest are under way and you are invited to join us.  The Mount Airy Festival Committee will host the two-day event on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..  As in the past, with your participation, we anticipate that the 2014 May Fest will be a successful event especially since it has been moved from Main Street to the Firemen’s Carnival Grounds located at Rt. 27 and Twin Arch Road.    There is no rain date.  This is a rain or shine event!

Registration fee for Crafters/Vendors is $75.00 for a 10' by 10' space.

If you want to participate, please complete the enclosed contract and return it along with your registration fee.  Checks should be made payable to the Mount Airy Festival Committee and mailed to:  Mount Airy Festival Committee, 4 South Main Street, Mt. Airy, MD  21771. 

If you want the same location you had at the previous May Fest, your contract must be received no later than April 1, 2014.  Space is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Submitting a contract is not a guarantee of a space.

Set-up time on Friday, May 16, after is 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Because of the new location, it will not be necessary to tear down the booth Saturday evening.  Also security will be on the grounds from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.  Friday and Saturday nights.  

No vehicles will be allowed in the exhibit area after 8:00 a.m. Saturday or before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Exhibiters arriving late will have to walk their merchandise in from the designated parking areas.

Guidelines for the May Fest are on the back of the enclosed contract.  Please read them carefully.  All participants must be aware of their responsibilities.  A set-up letter will be sent to you by April 2014.
