Mrs. Altdoerffer graduated with honors from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.  She earned two degrees in Elementary and Special Education.  In Arizona, She student taught in lower income districts with primarily Spanish speaking children (K-6).  She was fortunate enough to gain experience in a variety of different classroom settings, ranging from general education to self-contained.  She has been teaching at Woodside for 8 years. 

Mrs. Altdoerffer received the Teacher of the Year award in the Record and Herald newspapers.  More than 150 teachers in the Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson Counties were nominated and she was chosen as one of the top three Outstanding Star Teachers.  She was extremely honored to be chosen for this award and continues to love teaching second grade at WAS!
