BIO
Mrs. Ricart has a diverse educational background.  Her Associates Degree is from Fashion Institute of Technology.  After years of fashion work in New York City, she fell in love with working with children.  Going back to school, she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies and Elementary Education. Back to back she continued her education to attain a Master's Degree. While at college and graduate school, Mrs. Ricart won awards for leadership and academic scholarship.  During her years in Franklin Lakes, she has continued her education with over 30 additional credits plus a reading course at Columbia University Teacher's College in New York City.

Since working in Franklin Lakes, Mrs. Ricart has been a kindergarten teacher and  a  first grade teacher at Woodside Avenue School.  Since coming to Colonial Road School, she has been very happy teaching second grade.
Teaching Philosophy

Mrs. Ricart’s philosophy of education is that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating learning environment that is safe, supportive of risk taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.  It is her desire to help her students meet their fullest potential.
