My family moved to Franklin Lakes in 1990. I was active in the PTA, a library volunteer for many years, and then began subbing in town. Having seen first hand the wonderful education my children received, I was happy to start teaching in Franklin Lakes Public Schools in 1996 and taught kindergarten, second, and third grades. Finally in 2003 I was placed in the library media center. My love of reading and desire to impart that love to students—to help find the perfect book for them—makes this the ideal job for me.
I received a B.S. in Computer Science from Brooklyn College and a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Media from William Paterson University. This combination allows me to educate the students on the best ways to locate information—not only for school work, but for their personal interests, and lifelong learning in the 21st century.
