About Ms. Colucci
Hello and welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! Ms. Colucci is so excited and eager to begin teaching. She graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in Elementary Education and an Endorsement in Middle School and Special Education. She also received her second BA in English with a concentration in Writing. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with family and friends, playing tennis, cooking, listening to music, and of course, reading and writing!
She believes in creating a culturally and emotionally responsive learning environment, where students’ individual needs are validated and embraced. Helping students realize and unlock their own unique potential is at the cornerstone of her teaching. Communicating and developing an atmosphere that fosters high expectations and providing the tools necessary to achieve them is her passion. She encourages all of her students, and cares about their success and individual goals. She believes that collaboration with faculty, staff, students and parents is key to truly attaining a culturally responsive learning environment. These are just a few attributes of Ms. Colucci’s teaching philosophy. She looks forward to meeting and getting to know each of you!
