BIO

Mrs. Melhorn been teaching in the Franklin Lakes School District since 1999.  Many of her years here were spent in Kindergarten at Woodside.  Mrs. Melhorn did spend two years at Colonial Road School as the computer specialist.  Prior to becoming a Kindergarten teacher,  she received her B.A. at William Paterson University, and in 2005 received her M.A. in Curriculum and Technology from the University of Phoenix.
Mrs. Melhorn is a very busy person between home and school.  In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Craig and two boys Jayson (14) and Zachary (10), especially in Virginia Beach in the summer.  Mrs. Melhorn's husband and Mrs. Melhorn both volunteer for the First Aid Squad in her hometown of Livingston.  Mrs. Melhorn is a certified EMT and spends many of her nights riding for her local first aid squad where she is serving her second year as captain.  In the fall, Mrs. Melhorn choreographs the Livingston High School Color Guard and works with the marching band.  It is something that she has been involved in since she marched in High School.
Mrs. Melhorn is very excited about this year and looks forward to spending each day with your child.  She knows that it is going to be a fantastic year!
