Teaching Philosophy

Steven Giessuebel came to Franklin Avenue Middle School in 2009 after teaching Mathematics at Jefferson Township High School.  He has a marketing degree and quite a few experiences within business.  He also works as a carpenter when opportunities arise.  These experiences help him to relate mathematics to real life applications.  This makes math come to life inside his classroom.  He decided to become a math teacher and received his teacher certification through the NJ Alternate Route program (NPTNJ).
He is married and has two daughters.   In his spare time (what spare time?) he likes to snowboard, mountain bike, skate board, hike and kayak.
