Teaching Philosophy
From athletics too extreme sports too in the classroom, I love to learn! I have 2 children ages 9 and 11 and it seems like I am always learning new things or finding new ways to make old activities even better. Technology has allowed me to grow so much these past two years and I am enjoying all the new ways to excite kids about learning. Virtual learning has become a welcomed challenge and I am looking forward to trying a bunch of creative ideas for delivering mathematical content to students.
I came to Franklin Avenue Middle School in 2009 after teaching Mathematics at Jefferson Township High School. I have a marketing degree and quite a few experiences within business. I also work as a carpenter when opportunities arise. These experiences help me relate mathematics to the real world. This makes math come to life inside my classroom. I decided to become a math teacher and received my teacher certification through the NJ Alternate Route program (NPTNJ).
I am married and have two daughters. In my spare time (what spare time?) I like too snowboard, mountain bike, skate board, hike and kayak. My true passion is being a dad and watching my own children grow. I am a family man through and through!
