About Ms. Burnup

Ms. Burnup is looking forward to her 14th year at FAMS! She received her undergraduate degree in English and Secondary Education at Montclair State University and her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through California Coast University. She loves being in the middle school setting and is passionate about shaping students academically, socially and personally at this important stage of their lives. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys Orangetheory workouts and outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and reading, of course!

Philosophy

Ms. Burnup believes that ALL students are capable of greatness when placed in a supportive environment. In addition to having high expectations for all students in language arts, Ms. Burnup also values social-emotional learning and makes it a priority of hers to maintain an environment students find challenging yet comfortable, safe, calm and exploratory.
