All College Bound Sophomores and Juniors are encouraged to take the 2017 PSAT.

The PSAT (Pre-SAT) / NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test):

  • Assesses academic skill levels and college and career readiness

  • Prepares students for college admissions testing.

  • Provides access to college planning resources

  • Allows Juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program

  • Connects students with colleges and universities

  • Offers suggestions for improvement of academic skills on college admissions tests

DATE: Saturday, October 14, 2017

TIME: 8:00 am to 11:00 am (students should arrive by 7:45 am)

LOCATION: Franklin High School (Library and surrounding classrooms)

COST: $16

Interested Sophomores and Juniors can sign up for the PSAT in Student Services by bringing in $16 (cash or check payable to Franklin High School) by Friday, October 6.

Students will receive a Student Guide with additional information about the PSAT and National Merit Programs, test-taking tips, and an official practice test.

Space is limit as test materials needed to be ordered at the end of last school year.

*Students should bring #2 pencils and a calculator (extra batteries or a backup calculator are also encouraged)

Alternate testing option:  Wednesday, October 11th at South Milwaukee HS.
