  • Welcome Back 2016/17

“Oh, it's delightful to have ambitions. I'm so glad I have such a lot. And there never seems to be any end to them-- that's the best of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition you see another one glittering higher up still. It does make life so interesting.”

L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Welcome back Redcats! The new school year is upon us and with it comes the promise of fresh goals and ambitions, hard work, and of course, creativity and fun. The FHS Redcat Library Learning Commons has goals as well. The 2015/16 school year saw a new library website and Twitter account. The Book Club grew in numbers . The launch of our MakerSpace added a new edition to the library programs. Poetry Slam, held in April, was an amazing success - with a record turn out. The 2016/17 year holds just as much promise. This year Makerspace will be a main focus. Makerspace activities will take place daily after school in the Library as follows:

    Monday- Chess

    Tuesday- Upcycle

    Wednesday- Games and Puzzles

    Thursday- Wildcard

    Friday- Papery

Book Club and Poetry Slam will continue to take a front row seat as well. Homework tutoring is available everyday after school in the Library. There will be a few surprises along the way as well... so stay tuned! Don't forget to follow the library on twitter @RedcatLibrary to stay posted on the most current news, events, and updates.
